🌍 Environmental Art with Purpose

Exhibition – Embassy Theatre, Skegness, Lincolnshire (2019)

In 2019, I was honoured to exhibit my work at the Embassy Theatre in Skegness, Lincolnshire, from June through to December. This body of work was created to deliver a message of hope for our planet — a visual reminder that we are not condemned by the damage already done, and that through awareness and action, we can change our way of living and protect our most precious habitats.

The exhibition called for urgent attention to the issue of single-use plastic pollution and the broader impact of human activity on land, air, and sea. Art and creative expression can be powerful tools in climate communication, and I’ve added my artistic voice to the growing number of people advocating for environmental responsibility and sustainable change.

🖼️ Art Inspired by Nature & Awareness

My creative focus is deeply tied to the natural environment and how it’s being affected by human development. Much of my work reflects on:

• The evolution of urban landscapes
• The rise of industrial power
• The visible and hidden impacts of pollution
• The need for climate-conscious living

I often challenge the viewer to look more closely — to reflect on what may be easily overlooked in daily life. Through detailed pencil sketches, pen work, and environmental textures, I aim to show both the beauty and the fragility of the world around us.

One piece, Secret Squirrel, invites viewers to explore hidden elements in the bark of a tree — reminding us that nature always holds more than meets the eye.

💬 Emotion, Biomimicry & Artistic Voice

My process is grounded not just in what I see, but in what I feel. I believe in expressing emotional depth through form, colour, and texture. I’m particularly fascinated by Biomimicry — the idea that art can imitate life, and life can evolve in response to creativity. In a world that is constantly shifting, I see art as a living response to both hope and hardship.

🎨 Art for Everyone – Workshops & Community Events

I also run art groups, creative workshops, and art parties for all ages and abilities across Lincolnshire. These sessions are designed to be inclusive, therapeutic, and inspiring — encouraging others to explore big ideas like environmental awareness, creativity, and emotional resilience through painting, model-making, and collaborative projects.

Whether it’s a quiet sketch in nature or a hands-on group activity, my goal is always to inspire hope, start conversations, and connect people through creativity.
