I am Steve Gould, an artist, professional photographer, author and community creative practitioner based in Skegness, Lincolnshire. My work brings together art, photography, storytelling and community projects, with a strong focus on creativity, inclusion and the environment.
Over the years, my work has grown from individual art and photography into books, workshops, school activities, environmental projects and wider community collaborations. At the heart of everything I do is a simple belief that creativity can help people connect, build confidence and see the world around them differently.
Art has been at the heart of my creative life for many years. My work includes drawing, painting, watercolour, mixed media and illustration, alongside community based creative projects that encourage people of all ages to take part.
I am especially interested in the way art can help people slow down, notice more and feel more confident in their own ideas. My approach is not about perfection. It is about curiosity, expression and giving people the freedom to explore creativity in their own way.

Photography has been a major part of my creative life, from professional and press work to documenting communities, events, people and the Lincolnshire coast. I am drawn to atmosphere, light, character and the small moments that often tell the strongest stories.
My photography continues to sit alongside my art and community work, helping me record projects, celebrate local life and capture the places and people that shape the stories around us.

My creative journey has grown into writing and illustrating original books, bringing together my artwork, photography, imagination and love of storytelling.
The Kitty Krew began as three very different cats and has developed into a world of stories exploring friendship, curiosity, kindness and adventure. The books have also become part of my wider community work, connecting with children, schools, families and creative projects.
My latest journey takes the Kitty Krew into Wonderland, combining original storytelling and illustration with inspiration from the extraordinary imagination of Lewis Carroll.

Community is at the heart of much of my work. I develop and support creative projects that bring people together through art, photography, storytelling and shared experiences.
My work has included schools, community groups, local organisations and public events, with projects focused on inclusion, creativity, environmental awareness and pride in the places where we live.
From coastal and recycling initiatives to large community artworks and the Kitty Krew environmental projects, I believe creativity can help people connect with each other and encourage positive change.

Creative workshops, school activities, public events and collaborative projects that bring people together through art, imagination and shared experiences.

Love Our Beach, recycling projects, coastal awareness and creative activities encouraging pride, responsibility and care for our local environment.
