My Work Making A Splash in The Community

I strive to take my art out into the community and spread the message that creativity is healing; empowering and enriches life.

For many years I worked in the health and social care sector and am able to incorporate my experience into my art tutoring.

I work with individuals who live with physical and mental health issues including dementia, those recovering from strokes, people who have behavioural challenges and those with special learning needs.

Art is a means to open up the lives of individuals living with mental health issues. It’s a way of communicating; encouraging; raising self-esteem; and by working in a relaxed group environment friendships are made.

I have established links with Community Mental Health and Community Care organisers. art- workshops lincolnshire homeschooling studio art

I truly believe in the holistic approach to art providing a therapeutic outlet to soothe the spirit and awaken inner creativity.

It’s been proven holistically and medically that spending time outdoors benefits your mental & physical health. Offering the opportunity of bringing art into the environment will help increase people's feeling of self-worth through an exciting and innovative range of activities.

As part of the Eco Wellness Project at the Eco Centre I am the Artist in Residence.
