Sharing Our Creativity 🐾
At Splash of Gold, we believe art, stories and creativity are at their best when they bring people together.
Over the years, Steve Gould and Splash of Gold have donated and given away books, artwork, activity packs, illustrations and creative resources to children, schools, community organisations and families.
We are very proud to be able to do that.
The Kitty Krew
have a particularly important role in this. Monty, Daisy and Kylo help us share messages about kindness, creativity, curiosity, our environment and caring for the communities in which we live.
Free really does mean free
When we say that one of our activity packs, booklets or resources is free, there is no hidden catch.
If it has been provided for children, families, schools or community activities, please enjoy it for the purpose for which it was given.
Print it. Colour it. Draw from it. Learn from it. Share the experience with your children or group.
Most importantly, have fun with it.
As Kylo would probably say, if there are crayons involved, you're already halfway to an adventure. 🐾🎨
Our books and giveaways
From time to time we also donate or give away physical books and publications.
Once we give you a book, the copy is yours to keep and enjoy. We hope it gets read, shared within families, taken to bedtime, carried to school and perhaps becomes a little battered around the edges from being loved.
Giving away the physical book does not, however, transfer the copyright in its story, illustrations, characters or design.
Using our artwork and images
The photographs, illustrations, Kitty Krew characters, stories and other original artwork appearing on this website remain the creative work and intellectual property of their respective copyright owners.
Please don't reproduce, substantially alter, commercially print, sell, merchandise or present our work as your own without permission.
If you're a school, charity, community organisation, local attraction or other organisation and would like to use something we've created, please get in touch. We would much rather have a friendly conversation and see whether we can help.
Sharing on social media
We're delighted when people want to share what we're doing.
You are welcome to share our original social media posts using the platform's Share function, as this keeps the original post and attribution attached.
If you would like to use one of Steve's photographs or illustrations separately for publicity, a website, publication, poster or another project, please ask first.
The Kitty Krew
Monty, Daisy and Kylo might spend quite a lot of their time getting themselves into adventures, but they are original characters and an important part of Steve's books and creative work.
Their names, character designs, illustrations and associated Kitty Krew material should not be reproduced for merchandise, commercial products or other publications without permission.
Daisy says: “Asking first is always the kind thing to do.”
Monty says: “And please credit the photographer.” 📸
Kylo says: “Does copyright apply to treats?”
