Writing has always been part of my creative journey. From children's adventures with the Kitty Krew to colouring books and personal projects, every story begins with a simple idea and grows through observation, imagination and a love of sharing creativity with others.
Many of my books are inspired by real experiences, real places and, of course, the adventures of Monty, Daisy and Kylo. Together with my artwork and photography, they form part of the wider Splash of Gold creative world.
Whether you're discovering the Kitty Krew for the first time or following the latest projects, I hope these stories encourage curiosity, creativity and a smile along the way.

The Kitty Krew follows the adventures of Monty, Daisy and Kylo as they explore the world around them. Through fun stories, colourful illustrations and memorable characters, the books encourage children to discover nature, solve problems, work together and enjoy the excitement of learning.
Inspired by real cats and real experiences, each story combines creativity with gentle life lessons, making the Kitty Krew a world that readers of all ages can enjoy.

Alongside the Kitty Krew adventures, I'm developing a growing collection of books, journals and creative projects inspired by everyday life, nature, history and imagination. Some are complete, others are works in progress, but each one reflects my passion for storytelling and encouraging creativity.
From thoughtful reflections to imaginative tales, every project is another chapter in the Splash of Gold journey. I enjoy exploring different styles of writing while remaining true to the themes of curiosity, kindness and discovery that run through all of my work.

Living in a Box
As part of 'Gandersheim Reads', a three-day festival celebrating books in our twin town of Bad Gandersheim, I was invited to present Living in a Box, fresh from the press.
The visit marked the beginning of the book's own journey. A copy now forms part of the collection at the new library in Bad Gandersheim, while others have found homes in libraries and communities across the region, including Goslar and Einbeck.
One particularly memorable moment was presenting a signed copy to German author and journalist Margarete von Schwarzkopf, who kindly said she was looking forward to reading it with her grandchildren.
For me, Living in a Box is more than a book—it's a reminder that stories can travel, build friendships across borders and connect people through a shared love of reading.
