Living in a Box began as a simple children's story, but it soon became something much bigger. Through creativity, friendship and a shared love of books, it travelled from England to Germany, bringing communities together and inspiring readers of all ages.

Living in a Box begann als eine Geschichte über drei abenteuerlustige Katzen, Monty, Daisy und Kylo. Doch daraus wurde viel mehr als nur ein Buch. Es ist eine Reise über Freundschaft, Freundlichkeit, Neugier und die Kraft der Kreativität, Menschen miteinander zu verbinden.
2026 geht diese Reise weiter.
In diesem Jahr möchten wir Menschen erreichen, zum Lesen anregen und Kreativität miteinander teilen. Gleichzeitig beginnt ein neues Abenteuer mit unserem kommenden Buch The Kitty Krew in Wonderland.
Durch Bücher, Kunst, Fotografie, Zeichnungen und Begegnungen möchten wir Ideen teilen, neue Freundschaften schließen und zeigen, dass Kreativität keine Grenzen kennt.
Von England nach Deutschland und vielleicht sogar bis nach Wonderland …

Where the Journey Began
Living in a Box tells the story of three adventurous cats whose journey into space is about much more than exploration. Along the way they discover the importance of kindness, friendship and working together to make the world a happier place.
What started as an idea on paper became an opportunity to share those values with readers, families and communities beyond my own.
Gandersheim Reads
As part of Gandersheim Reads, a three-day festival celebrating books in our twin town of Bad Gandersheim, I was invited to present Living in a Box shortly after its publication.
During the visit, copies of the book were presented to the town library and later found homes in other communities, including Goslar and Einbeck, helping the story reach new readers across the region.
Sharing Creativity
Large art prints and Kitty Krew badges were given to children, helping bring the story beyond the pages of the book.
One of the most memorable moments came when the town librarian shared that he had read Living in a Box to his grandchildren. They loved the adventures of the three cats travelling into space, making new friends and showing how kindness can help make the world a happier place.

The Journey Continues
Although the visit to Bad Gandersheim has become a treasured memory, the journey of Living in a Box is far from over. Every new reader, every shared story and every conversation reminds me why creativity matters. I hope the adventures of the three cats continue to inspire friendship, curiosity and the belief that even the smallest ideas can make a lasting difference.
